Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Went for Harry Potter And the Goblet of Fire with Heidi.
Boy I had a rough time going out... haha... First I was incredibly late (although she was late too). When I was walking out to the bus stop, the bus just drove off. Second I forgotten to bring my debit card out!! No money how to go gai gai... Gotta run back home to grab the card then run out again. This time, the bus was on the way towards the stop. RUN AGAIN... Darn tiring.

WHen I arrived at The Gates, she wasnt there yet (later than me=P) so I decided to go grab my brother's stuff first. Went to the Comic store in Chinatown & it was packed (first time). There was a CS (Counter Strike) Competition going on, so all guys were there gathering. I thought that game was so history, always hear the guys in school talkin abou it.
THen went to the Chinese store to grab Taufu Fa for Dan. The uncle told me no one eats Taufu Fa during winter... I was like.. HAR? He then introduced me Instant Taufu Fa. Just add water & sugar andn there you are... You own TAUFU FA.

Heidi then met up with me in front of the cinema. Its my first time seeing the cinema's PACKED. Watching movies isnt a huge thing to the British, they prefer to buy dvds and keep it as a collection. If I am them, I would do that too, cause a ticket cause you £6. WHile a Dvd cause you about £20. You wont loose much buying it back home & watch it countless times... haha... Not like Malaysia, a ticket cost you RM10 but a dvd cause you RM120.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a big hit in the UK. All tickets were sold out, we only managed to grab the 6pm session.

As it was only 3.30pm, we decided to have some window shopping & had our dinner before the movie starts. Wento USC, saw some great stuff - bags, blouses, skirts but we didnt get any of those... Waiting for the Winter sale * wee*
Then The Body Shop and got a facial blotter, then BOOTS to check up some cosmectic stuff (Heidi).
Later we went to Accessorize. MAN, ITS EMBARRASSSSINGG!!!! I totally forgotten that they dont accept solo cards & thats the only thing I have!!!! I gotta get Heidi to pay on my behalf >,<. At that very moment, everyone;s looking at you... JUST IMGAINE HOW BAD THE SITUATION WAS!!!!!! By the way, Accessorize is selling pet's clothes which are soooo adorable... But pricely too, £10 cheapest. I might get one of the really pretty cute collar for Fifi. As Malaysia's too hot to have her wearing clothes, getting accessories for her will be enough. Christmas's coming and they are selling earring of Santa, Christmas tree & rain deer with LIGHTS ON!! haha.. So you can wear those earring with the lights on, this way you will loook like a tree? haha... I saw a frying egg pan with the LOVE shape!! I WAS SOOOOO CLOSE of buying it cause its soo cute... A love shape eggie... haha.... But I didnt... Might get that if its on sale... haha... After that we went for Burger King then Fenwick on the way to the cinema. Heidi & I decided to get the Stilla foundation when we got our wages. Packaging is so important. It makes the products so cute that you just want to have it, regardless of the price... haha... For the very firs time, Odeon is PACKED. We got to even queue up to enter the cinema. Cinemas in UK is free sitting so you got to grab your seats early for such situation. FOr normal time the cinema is just 30% full. Compared to Malaysia's GSC, Odeon really neeed to SAO PEI... Maybe only London Odeon which always held Premiere can fight.. haha...

The show was good but not great. The book is always better, much more excitement. But the director's just being practical I guess, filming the whole book would take about 3 hours to end it.
For those who havent read the book, I would recomand you to first watch the movie then go for the book. From the movie, you can always get whats written in the book, but from the book, there are so much things you cant find from the movie. Besides, reading gives you much room to imagine things, make things more fun and of course YOUR WAY. You can imagine the actors to be as handsome as you want, the girls as pretty as you like or as ugly as you like... haha...
I personally fantasize Igor Karkaroff (Pedja Bjelac (II)) to be REALLY HOT, but in the movie he turns out to be really yukky...

Michael Gambon playing the new Professor Albus Dumbledore is really disappointing. He is way too energetic to be Professor Dumbledore. The foremore Professor was much calmer & looked much wiser. This one looked just like a stupid crazy overwhelmed Professor.

Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter. He really grown up compared to the previous movies. ANd he does have a body(The scene he tried to crack the egg in the prefect bathroom).. haha.. Although it isnt those manly type, but I can see potential in him.. haha...
He looks so gentleman... Like a real Englishman... haha...

Emma Watson, Hermione Granger. She's getting prettier and more lady like compared to the past where she look like a GIRL. Hehe...

Rupert Grint, Ron Weasley. TO be honest I think he can be a hot dude in the future... haha... Still young... haha.. got lots of room to be improve...haha...

Katie Leung, Cho Chang. I think she's really cute and pretty. She should have got the dance with Harry!!! But what ever... her partner died at the end.. lol...

Robert Pattinson, Cedric Diggory. I think he's cute, but not the SUPER CUTE type like Justin Timberlake... haah... Too bad he died... haha...

Overall, its a good movie. Especially in the first task, the graphic were excellent. They make it so real. Just that I personally think that, they should also film the other participants tackling their task. It might make Harry not so in the spot light, but it sort of balance things out. Centralizing the main character too much might bring abit negative effects to the overall show.

Its end of another week, everything's about the same, typical routine, work, sleeeep, eat... online.. etc..

Anything HUGE happen this week? Eric went for the court hearing, and he was found guilty of some charges (dont really know). He is now suspended to drive in the UK for 1 year & a penalty of £150. Not too bad considering cheating the police. Its a pretty major offence when you are involved in the police.
So now Eric is just staying at home, going to casino , going out (dont know where) etc... Basically being someone uselesssss.
I am really frustrated with Eric's bratty behaviour. Now his girlfriend, Cecilla's gone back to Hong Kong, there's no one to clean his dirty dishes or just wrapped all the takeaways and bin it. I think he still dont see the situation the way I see. Cause he is still leaving all the craps on the table expecting SOMEONE to clean it up for him. NO WAY DUDE>>> GET A LIFE>>>

We are now entering winter & the weather is awful. Awful as in ITS FREAKING COLD OUTSIDE!!! ANd the damn house's central heating aint working well. Its as if we didnt on the heater & the house is like a fridge, a huge fridge. To show you how cold it is, even when we talk in the kitchen, there is smoke coming out from our mouth & breathing... I am so not exaggerating.
Thats why we didnt on the heating (No point), instead we have our own individual heater. This way, we can save on the gas bill and pay on the electricity bill and still get warm. (Gas is much expensive than electricity)

Waking up in the morning would be the worse. Leaving your warm comfy duvet is sooo torturing. THe minute you open the duvet, immediately you can feeel the cold air. I am starting to wear my winter jacket with scarf. And I dont carry any hand bags, instead I use sling over bags, this way my hands are freee to be kept warm in the pockets ^^.

Its Friday today, and before going home I went to the Heaton's Morrison to grab some food stuff. Bought some ready meal for lunch to work and some for Dan to have before going to work too. I am getting really bored with sandwiches & pasta. I mean really BORED ~. I felt like throwing up whenever I finish a sandwich or pasta. Thats why I bought Indian ready meal. Its something Asian. I think I really missss Malaysia food, where Char Kuey Teow is so common but definately an 'EXTICNTED' or maybe didnt even exist... haha...

Those bag of foood were REALLLY HEAVY... My hands were so near to be frozen and its going to break. Waited for the bus for about 15 minutes. Finally when the bus arrived, its quite packed and I got to stand >,<. Actually..... THERE WAS A SEAT BUT I DIDNT SEEEE THAT!!!!! ANd the guy next to it is prettty cute. He was loooking at me with that weird face, "Hello there's a seat, why dont you take it?" It was reallllly humilating... cause everyone's lookin me that way -_-". With that much of heavy bags on hand, normal people would immediately grabbed that seat... but not me... hiah...

Oh yah, something huge did happen, but its not about the house or the family. Its about others.
1) Our 'beloved' new neighbour's house was burgled. To make things worse, one of the mate's car was burgled too... The GPRS kit was stolen... haha... Looks like their faith is much worse than us.. lol... And we all think its really stupid and weird for a civilan to on a GPRS. YOu aint any taxi driver or going round the world, why do you need a GPRS System which cost you £400. Not to mention the car isnt any major luxury car. All you need is just a MAP. A good map will cause you only £10. It wasnt the first time his car was being 'attacked' at the very same side of the door... haha...

2) A Malaysian guy student commit suiside by jumping from the 8th floor from one of the buildings in Newcastle University. I was really shocked to hear that from the uncle who works as a technician there. They are still investigating the case whether is he being push off or he did it himself. Wonder what drive him there & having such courage to just JUMP OFF. It take so much guts to end your life. Why dont use that guts to face your problem? Humans can be so foolish at that very moment and regret at the next moment.

Thats all for the week.

Greatful

I was so touched watching today's Extream Makeover Home Edition. This week its about a really special family, a family which consist of a pair of deaf parents, a deaf, blind & retard in terms of movements young son. The only one that is normal in the family is their eldest 14 year old son.
He had to make sure everything goes right for the family, he takes extra extra care for his little brother. As a 14 year old kid, its such a big burden on his shoulder that he has to carry out RIGHT. I sort of can understand how he feels like. Cause I think I am a bit protective when it comes to my family members. You want the best for them, you dont want them to get hurt. Worrying about them around the clock. Especially when you have a family where everyone has their own problem, blind, deaf...
He is a really special kid, a very strong one. Thats why the Team gave the family a USD50k cheque to help them support the family and at the same time give the son a chance to visit Australia, a place he visited years ago & was dying to go back again.
He deserves that kind of reward.

The Makeover Team decided to give them a NEW house within 7 days. During that 7 days, the family would have a week vacation in the finest hotel in the States (I cant remember the name). Its the place where the parents spent their 1st lunch after the marriage. It was too expensive for them to spend their honeymoon there, thats why they can only afford the lunch inspite of months and months of savings.

I think it was the youngest son touched me most. The team wanted to give the best for the youngest son. To do that, they got to feel what he feels then only they will know whats the best for him. They blind fold themselves & had a class designed for them to really feeel what he feels, the see what his world is like.
Watching that part makes my heart sour. Tears were so near to rolling down my cheeks.
I cant imagine my life being like his. He couldnt see what we see, he couldnt see how beautiful the world is, how fantastic things can be. All he has is just a dark, pitch black world. Without any light and color. He cant do things normal kids do. He cant play soccer, he cant go cycling, he cant climb the trees. He missed all the fun being a normal kid.
The saddest thing is he cant see his parents face, his brother face.
Its the feeling of helpless that struck me most. You wanted to do so many things, but you just cant do it. You just cant.
WHen you grow older, you will feel so helpless that you might even think that you are just a burden to your family.

Everything is so hard for these people, what have they done wrong to have such life? They have no choice to be born that way.
For Christians, they would surely say, God have his reason doing this. Its easy to say, but its so tough to really accpet that explaination & be STRONG.
For Buddhism, the would say its the circle of life. It reflects what you have done in the past.
No matter what the religion says, the only thing that is true is YOU GOT TO ACCEPT IT & live with it. Dont give up in yourself.
Supports from the surrounding is so important to them. Letting them know that they are not alone, and everyone loves them. Let them know they arent useless trash to the community. Maybe the wouldnt have much contribution to the community, but every little thing counts.
There's is chinese saying something like this, Big man do big things, little man do little things. Everyone just do things according to their ability. It might be small to normal people, but it means alot to those less fortunate.
Accept those less fortunate, cause they are part of the world & they are the people who make you feeel more greatful than anyone else.

So folks, be greatful with what you have. You might think what you have is SHIT, but its something really important & priceless to others. Dont take your eyes, hands, hearing, ability to talk, ability to think, laugh, smile, cry for granted. You wont know someday you might just loss it, just instantly...
Be more considerate...
