Last Moment

This post came really late! I know, after half a year of leaving UK, only I am writing an ending for my wonderful year in the UK.

I still remember clearly the days where I was busy packing EVERYTHING home! 3 cartons of shipping and 3 huge luggage. I know thats a lot but I swear it doesnt look like that when its outside the box and bags =).

In that early morning, a undescribable feeling was inside my heart. I was going to leave UK but not REALLY leaving yet as we will be going to Manchester first. But WE WERE LEAVING! Weird feeeling huh...
I thought I will be crying like I left Msia for UK, surprisingly I didnt. Maybe I was too worried of leaving this behind, luggage etc.
Something really special happened and I will remember that forever in my heart. Usually, when we are going out or to be more specific the minute the door's opened, Ziv would be running out from the house. Not for this time. (He slept with us for that night - somesort of last moment together... )
Instead, he sat right up the stairs looking at us quietly, as if he was saying goodbye to us in a silent way. The feeeeling of looking into his eyes sores my heart. I am a super dog lover, and especially with Ziv. He is such a wonderful and special dog to me. Through his eyes, I sensed sadness and loneliness. Honestly speaking, I dont think he got much real love from his current parents as they always put their entertainment before Ziv.
Goodbye Ziv and I will always remember you.

As forManchester trip it was okay. I believe its a trip that meant alot to daniel as he is a hardcore MU fan. Good for him. Rest of it was posted below.

The journey back to Malaysia was really 'challenging'.
First of all, we nearly missed our flight from Manchester Airport to Heathrow! The air ticket that's been admended earlier on didnt write properly on the first copy and we look ONLY at the first copy! Luckily I checked again and we were still early before the departure time!!!!!!!!

Next, darn Msian airport! When we left for UK, hand luggage wasnt counted, so we assumed its the same for UK airport. Obviously it wasnt. At first she told us to make it not over weight! Hello the only way to do so was ABANDONE a WHOLE BAG!!!!! Luckily enough the front desk let us through as pretend to NOT see our HUGE handluggage!!!

If you think thats the end of the obstacles!! In Heathrow!! ANOTHER MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!!!
DARN THAT INDIAN FELLA who's working at the front desk!!!! His attitude was absolutely ARROGANT! God who you think you are!!! OWNER OF MAS HUH?!! DIE LA!!!!
At that moment, I really pity Dan as he gotta take all the frustration from that fucker and tolerate everything he said! We were obviously over weighted! And were going to be penalty charges! 1Kg = 100 pound! YOU GO DIE LA!!!!
At the end he let us through with no SMILE on his freaking asshole face!!!

In the plane! MAS - world class. Kononnya la... they dont even have MINERAL WATER or drinking water! Darn I gotta take paip water as thats the only fresh water they have... shit...
The air conditioner wasnt working at the beginning, and the flight was delayed for some reason! Luckily nothing happen!!!
The lady sat next to me was a Malaysian Penang lady. She married to a British and got PR in England. Nice chat....

After 12 hours of flight... finally we landed on our home land... Malaysia....

How was my feeeeeling from the minute I stepped into Manchester Airport... next post =)

Manchester

Thats the last place I went before leaving UK. The weather wasnt as good as we wanted! The pattern was great day in the morning till 2pm when it will start raining.

The photo I like most is - this one, taken with my brother at the Manchester Wheel.

I freak like hell when the wheel went up!!! I am soo fobia with heights.
But the scenary frm there is really nice.

What's the most memoriable thing I've done in Manchester?? It will definately be shopping in LV. hahaha!! Actually not so much of SHOPPING but buying only 1 item. Its a gift for my beloved mummy!!
Entering that shop really give me a REAL idea of how the rich spend their money. A normal bag that cost £950. You must really be rich to do that.

We didnt miss the match for the EURO CUP between Barcelono and Arsenal. Was a okay okay match for me as I dont support any of the teams, dont really feeel the excitement, but Henry of Arsenal is pretty good looking!! hahaha...

Oh yah, another place I must mention would be OLD TRAFFORD, Manchester Club. We had a de-tour inside the Museum and of cousre the stadium. Football is another thing the RICH likes. You know how much is it to rent a season of the VIP Room in this stadium?? - £125,000 just for a season!!!!! And for a 2nd gred room will be £75,000. Basically a room for 4 for the match and a meal. RIch huh...
The stadium wasnt as big as we thought it will be. Maybe its because of the angles the cameras take that make it looked so majestic.
The feeling of being inside something so historcial is really great where big matches were being held. I didnt know that MU started as a underdog until the Saviour came - Eric Cantona (I think... hahahahhaa). And there I witness the body size of Ruud Van Nistelrooy by the jersey he wore!!! HUGE!!!!! * wink * wink * ~ LEng Zai!!! hhahaha
The biggest regret me for me in the UK is not have the chance to watch a EPL myself!!!!! Haih~
Dont know what to write di... Mind is just blank now...
Guess this will be the end of this post... Although I miss report lots of stuff!!! haha.. will try to update it IF i remember. haha

Dan and I went out to settle some stuff and we met this Malaysian working there, Pak. He's from Penang, 7 years older than me. Some how, is Penang people more friendly or we are being lucky to meet all friendly Penang-ers.
THe way they talk is so funny!! Maybe because mummy's from Penang thats why I got such feeling.

We then went to Comic City to do some stuff and there again Pak appear. The owner of the shop is a Malaysian, hence that place sorto of became the gathering place for Malaysian. I got a feeling of being back in Malaysia when i m there. Everyone speak the same slang of Chinese and Cantonese - Non HK-y nor Chi-Na.

Dan, me and Pak then went to Tien Tien to have dinner.

At night, Dan went out Yam-cha with John. I didnt go as I m pretty tired and GUY talk is not suitable for me.
The other day, Dan told me John bought me dessert!!! * YEAH * !! I'm really my brother's friends' little sister ^ ^

Last Day at Royal China

Its Dan's turn to have a farewell with his colleagues, Royal China. I followed him to work just to be his camera girl.
Cecilla (tauke's wife) came to the shop just to wish Dan good bye and all the best. She gave him a Ang Bao * WOO *. Thats considered really generous of him as the husband's quite famous for being REALLY stingy.
She just gave birth to a baby girl and I bought her a SUPER CUTE CUTE warm teddy that can go inside a microwave to be heated up ~ LoVeLy ~

The day went out as usual, pack prawn cracker, pick up calls, take down orders, talk crap with the drivers. This time wasnt Alan nor Jerry working for the day. Instead it was Dicky and John (two person who I dont know).
Dicky's personality is about the same as Dan (He is much much childish and silly) and John looked like a quiet person, but I believe he has a more mature mind.

Dan took a few photos with tauke and wife and with his drivers. He will be going out with every driver for a meal for the next week - Dicky, John and Alan

Last Day

Today's feeling was a mixture of excitement and sadness. Excited to leave work, need not wake up early in the morning and can just dawdle at home doing NOTHING =P; sad to leave all these lovely people and something so routine in my past year.

Started work as usual, just that I dont feel sleeepy at work as I have something to look forward to - leaving the office FOR GOOOD.
Just before Luan went for her lunch, I managed to grab her and Angie to take a picture together as they left early last night. Christian was supposed to be in the picture too, but he left when I was in the loo...so too bad...
I started packing my stuff 15 minutes before I was suppose to swip out so that I have enough time to take a few photos with Linda who was in the other wing.
Susan was so happen to be there, hence I got her into the photo too!!
Everyone seems to be so shocked when I asked them for a photo - all unprepared, haha (Especially Marie).
Until I left the buidling I still didnt get to see Alfi to say goodbye. Thast the only regret i had. Alfi is the security guard for the building and he is an affable person, easy to talk with. I wanted to have a photo with him but he wasnt there * sob *.

At 1pm, Stacey, Nicola and I walked to El Coto up Leazes Park Road for Spanish food. The food there's SUPERB!! Very different as the normal Western food.
We had 3 hours of lunch * AHH * haha. After meal, we just sat there and chat crap for hours. They had a couple of drinks but not me, I think I am the only LAME one over there having pineapple juice where everyone in the restaurant ordered wine -_-''.
WHen it came to photo sessssioooon, it was hilarious. Obviosly from the photos you can see that ALLL of use are not photogenic AT ALL!!!

After being the FIRST to enter and LAST to leave, we think we have enough =P and finally getting our butt off the seat. We went dutch for the meal =P. Luckily guai lou all do that, if not - according to the CHINESE way,I was supposed to pay the bill, bt luckily I escpaed =P. * wee *.

Hugggizzz and kissses outside the restaurant. I think Stacey will missss me alot as I am the closest wit her there and we had been colleauges for 1 year and a month. As for Nicola, I am really greatful to her as I am not really close with her but yet she got the effort or WILL to buy me a present.
I will definately missss them and the working place. A tale to tell my kids when I get older, the Hantu-s that I;ve been with the whole year....

I gave Linda and Helen the farewell gifts today.
Linda was happy with the Green Tea mum took here. Early in the morning, she came to me telling me she couldnt give me a company reference because I didnt have a specific person to address for it, but she is going to give me a personal one =).
As for Helen, she felt surprise and ashamed of receiving my gift as she didnt do much for me as I was under her for only 2 months, but I still give her ^_^. It was the pyjamas mum bought from Langkawi. It was suppose to be the wrap around the waist cloth!! INstead it was the pyjamas -_-'' Brilliant mum huh... I was worried when I give her the gift, as I dont think westerners LOVE our kind of pyjamas - BEGGY HUGE BIG ONE!!! Anyway, she was really happpy with it ( I HOpe).

Early today, 9am, Joan had an Exit Interview with me regarding my resignation. The interview was pretty simple and easy. Bascially asking questions to help improve the company's management and quality.

The other thing was my salary!! Today's pay slip day and I was really eager to see mine as I will be getting some Extra out of it! Dang Dang... NO DIFFERENCE!!! All because Helen or HR (who ever I dont know) made a mistake for not reporting my last day would be this Friday, hence not adding my annual leaves and bonus INTO my current month's wages -_-.
It will come out only by the end of MAY, which I will be very very BACK HOME!
And PPA is not willing to write me a cheque and will ONLY bank money into a BANK ACCOUNT.
Luckily Natwest have the service of transfering money on my ORDER back to Malaysia when I give them the specific date and time even when I am not there.
So lucky me, my money will still come back to MUMMMY!!! hehehehe..

Our flight was at 7.50am and it was not NICE at all. Its.....

Thats all I wrote for my Dublin trip. hahaha!!!!
The fact is that I am just too lazy to post a post about the trip.... juz too lazy...
Dublin is a very very very busy city... the traffic is what you expected frm a big city like London & KL. Cars, buses, tourist buses etc everywhere, just that they have one transportation added in the chaos - tram.
Basically the trip was really tiring, non-stop walking and non-stop of visiting, sight-seeing.
I didnt really enjoy the trip (which is expected) as I wasnt with the right people... but I hav no choice... so nothing to complain about I guesss...

Overall, its a pretty nice trip, but not an enjoyable one... =(
Which to go back again??? Maybe not... hahaha...

Notes: Pubs, museums, foood, disagreement, shopping.

Happy 19th Birthday

Happy Birthday ME = )
This post gonna make me sound so sad! Haha. When everyone thought there will be a great celebration or what so ever, there is actually NOTHING. Haha. Not even a CAKE. Why is it so sad?
1st - I didnt mention it to anyone
2nd - My only family member is working
3rd - I dont bother to celebrate or anything.

To me, birthday means an ordinary day. The only difference is just the PRESENTS. Thats all, so i am not really sad when there is no celebration. That doesnt mean I dont like celebration, just that if there is NONE, its not too bad.
I didnt tell anyone is because I dont like the feeling of owing someone something. Telling them means expecting something from them, making them feeling the obligation of MUST celeberate my day, and thats something I dont like.
Besides that, I havent even finish packing for my trip to Dublin for tomorrow =).

So, a NOTHING 19th Birthday +_=

PS:// Thx soo much for the cards!! They meant so much to me and I will treasure them.

What a day in Spring - with SNOW!! Luckily it wasnt for long. As it was snowing and rainning quite heavily when I was on my way out, I took the cab instead of bus.

I think its really weird of me being puntual, if not why she wasnt in when I arrived exactly at 3pm?
We were suppose to make kimchi today, but a few people turn up that day, and that made it too many people for kimchi making, therefore we just had dinner there.
OH yah, I took the Thai cold glass noodles and Heidi brought a bottle of liquor which taste abit like bailey just that its Choclate. (Forgotten whats the name, its from M&S)

Heidi and I were like crazy old lady when we saw Liam. He's another British mix Korean little boy and I swear he will be a 'killer' when he grows up cause he is dead CUTE!!! His mum is reallly pretty as well, who spent 1 year in Taiwan learning Mandarin (thats why we couldnt speak Mandarin if we were trying to talk bad about them =P ).

I think today is the day I might actually consider murdering a child. Why? Cause Leah just get on my nerves!! At first we were playing (still alright) but then she got aggresive and was turning to be 'VIOLENT'. She wouldnt let me stop and kept on tickling me and that got me MAD! Till the extand she hit my head (I think) and said "You can go home now?" (Cant really remmber, but it sure is something not polite) I got really angry at that point and actually wanted to go home. Luckily Heidi's there and tried to smooth things out.
To be honest, I DONT LIKE HER!!! But cant act nasty to her isnt it, cause I am well educated by my parents =P haha..

After dinner basically is NOTHING TO DO, so they played Narnia. Something went wrong with the sound system and they worked prolly 10 minutes trying to fix it. As I've watched it and dont find it NICE at all, I went and help aunty with the cleaning in the kitchen.

Being Saturday, all the cabs were fully booked till 1am. Thats why I got to stay back till 12.20am (again) to wait for Dan to come and fetch me back home with his takeaway driver, Dicky.

Its just another typcial Korean dinner night, just 2 things different. The people - Liam, mum and the korean dude with a newly arrived Korean girl (super polite ans sweet - totally my opposite. haha) and of course the FOOD. This time she cooked the kimchi in a pot with other stuffs in it which is SUERP SUPER NICE!!!! Somthing like tomyam but its not sour. * DELICOUS *
Wait for me to do it for you folks when I get back. haha =)

Half day OFF

The reason of me having a half day off was I got to get the ingredients to make Thai Cold Noodle for tomorrow's dinner with Soonbeen aunty.

Before getting stuffs, I met up with Stacey and Nicola to get lunch together.
Man, Stacey got the tanning thing and she thinks she look gorgeous, but I felt totally opposite.
Westerners just love to tan themselves, regardless wether will that suite them -_-''.

Stacey gave me £10 as present! She wanted to get me a £10 Gift Voucher from ZARA but the lowest price of gift voucher they offer is £25, so she gave me cash instead.
Nicola gave me a birthday card with £1 M&S Gift Voucher -_-''. Thats the style of British, they can give ANYTHING.

When I went Weng Hong, I am suppose to get ONLY a packet of glass noodles. But at the end I spent 8 times the money I am suppose to spend -- > £9.

Hopefully they will ike the cold noodles I am going to prepare. * PRAY *

Exchage - Shipping

Finally got my Euro changed with Wai Lee. Luckily we went to M&S for it as they dont charged commision.
Its only now I only know the Dublin trip is 4 days 3 nights!! AH!!!! Wouldnt that be TOO LONG??!!??!!

After the money matter, Wai Lee wanted some 'shopping'. We first went to H&M, got myself a vest. I know its a out-dated fashion as the fashion now is those small little lacy blouse thing.
That fella over charged me and luckily the SMARTY me notice it and got my money back =).

Then we went to ZARA. GOD!! I fell in LOVE with that dress!! Its those victorian style of dress, where the chest part is tight and the bottom part is those loose. VERY LADY like!!
But its abit too grand to be wore for high street shopping (I THINK) but I sooo wanted to buy it!!!!!
A lady waiting for her daughter there kept on telling me - You should buy that if you LIKE IT! You will regret not buying it! YOU SHOULD BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY!!! AH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the main difference between Westerners and Asians. We Asians THINK TOOO MUCH!!! What westernes concern is only LOVING IT, ENJOYING IT.
AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That dress is still in my mind, BOTHERING ME!!! AH!!!
But with that price I can get a nice trendy teen-ny kind of dress from TOPSHOP.
SUAN LE BA!!!

Then I rushed back home for the shipping fella who we just called last night and coming today. (That explains all the last minute packing) We are really lucky as the fella-s were just on their way back to HQ and will be driving pass Newcastle. If not, we got to wait for them (god knows how long) for them to come over to pick up the boxes. Shipping to Malaysia
Hopefully they will arrive before we arrive as it seems that the next shipping will be soon, thats why they are driving around to pick up the boxes.
When I asked him about the insurance matter, that abang said - Tak payah bimbang, mesti sampai, mesti sampai, mesti sampai.
I hope and pray and wish THAT WILL BE TRUE!!
Finally got that SETTLE!!!

Last Minute Packing

Dan just called me telling me the shipping guy's coming tomorrow and we still have a carton of stuff havnt being PACK!!!!
Went to Pound Land to get the tapes and strings. I thought it wasnt enough, but I bought too much -_-
This carton is for - Winter clothings, thick wear, scarfs, my heater, boxes of papers and my new boots.
Luckily it didnt take me long to pack all those into the box as basically is just dumping all the clothings into the black bag!

Damn the last minute packing is tiring ~
It seems there are still stuffs inside the room inspite of 4 cartons of goods being shipped back home! haha. weird. haha.

Mops Saloon

Second time having hair cut in UK. This time, I tried Mops, recommanded by Heidi and Shareen.
Veronica helped me make the appointment last Monday. She didnt know we got to book according to the designer and therefore the receptionist decided for me - Sean. I didnt know what is his price, so I called. Dang dang dang - his price of baisc cut is -£45!!! With the first visit £10 off, its still quite costly!!!
Luckily Jess is available and she's cheaper!! £36. After the discount it would be £26.

I didnt have any particular hairstyle I want. Basically is at least shoulder length and fringe, thats all. So Jess told me if it would be shoulder length, the end of the hair that lay on the shoulder will curl out. THen I said above the shoulder will be alright too.
We started with the hair wash. GOSH their hair wash chairs AMAZING!! Its a electronical massaging chair. The only thing about that chair is - NOT ENOUGH POWER LA!!!! But the feeling was still sensational. The roller from the waist up to the back. * Nice *. Especially for people like me who sits all day typing, major back ache.
After the washing, here comes the 'fun' part, cutting off my hair!! The minute she starts cutting, clumps of hairs falling on the floor and I mean ALOT!!!
WHen she finished, I look at the mirror - WHAO!! THe shortest hair I ever had since primary school! haha.
The main prob with my this hairstyle is, the layers cant be seen because I didnt dye or highlight my hair. So what you can see is a head of black hairs!! Thats all!!! Highlighting or dying hair over here is about the same as Malaysia, but I can get a special deal in Msia which is way much cheaper, thats why I hesitated to do any coloring over here.

So.. quite happy with the hairstyle although Brian said me like leng-mui but Dan said I look really woman in it. haha. ANyway I will still be cutting my hair again when i go back to KL. This time with COLOR!!

Oh yah, for the first time, I didnt feeel like buying anything when shopping!!! Haha. AMAZING HUH!!??

I left house 3 minutes later than usual time!! And I nearly miss the bus!!!! Its my first time in UK, running after a BUS!! AH!!! Anyway, manage to get on to the bus * luckly *

Stacey's being transfered to Bridge House's Customer Support due to her wrist pain. More oeration work will only her hand.
Actually, I am quite glad she left. Haha. Not being mean, but sometimes she does distract me from my work!! Hence being behind my target, hence you know - MORE PREASURE!! The sad side will be no one to talk about CRAP i guess. Haha.

Anyway, after work is SHOPPING TIME!! Hahaha. Got my pay TODAY. =)
I just realized that I was overdraft for £5!!! Thats so imposssible!!! I know that account's pretty empty, but not overdraft??!! At that moment, I totally forgotten to ask for the bank statement (not untill now!!) for me to check. Damn, got to go get it tomorrow.
That didnt stop me from my semi- shopping spree! Haha.

I think I should blame WAREHOUSE for being just around the corner!! Because of its convenience, I go there almost everyday. ALMOST, thus spending MORE money. Got 3 stuff from there. THATS ALL.
THen when to Virgin Music Store to have a look. Found C'en's stuff and bought the trilogy of Lord of the Ring extended DVD version. Here comes the problem. We had the Extended version of LOTR VCD!! Maybe I can use the vcd set as present for some exchange gift next time! Haha. Shhh..

I nearly!!! Nearly!!!! Bought 2 posters!!!! But I didnt after discussing with C'en on the phone! Haha. Reason being was - I wont be sticking it on the wall, whats the point of buying it?? but THEN, in the bus only I realized, I can FRAME IT!!! then HANG it!!!! Am I brilliant or what?!! =P
So which 2 posters am I talking about?
1- Batman Returns poster! Its not the cinema promotion one. Its a reallly super super super coooooool one. With the bats and lighthing behind Batman.
2- A SHIT saying for all religion and teaching!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!! Hahha.
Why must they be soo expensive... Haih.. each for £3.99 or 3 for £10. The Batman one was £4.99.
GOt to think about it AGAIN. hmmm..

I just LOVE shopping!! Haha!!! Best medicine for ManDy Lim! * wee *
(Dad and mum is soo going to kill me for that statment!! hahaha)

Union Strike

Biggest stike in England since year 1928 (I think) - UNION STRIKE.
WHo started it? UNISON.
Its a organisation for the public sector. So what are they fighting for this time?
The goverment decided to increase the retirement age from 60 to 65 but the amout of pension will not be increase (I THINK!!). I am not too sure actuallyy!! hahaha!!

The strike in Newcastle wasnt too bad. At least I didnt see people protesting on the street. Metro was not operating, only BUSES. Thats why that day, for the first time, I see new faces in the bus!! haha. All office staffs in coats slacks.

There were rumours Tyne Bridge will be closeD!!! Then the road towards the bridge was totally congested! Honnnnsssss over where and traffic police's on duty. Basically every where was jam! ANd it took me 1 hour to get home, instead of the normal 15 mintues.

Overall, the strike was just mild. No violence, like in Paris, France. haha.

Half Day Leave

Damn, I should have called in and just tell them I couldnt make it THAT DAY!! Instead, I went to work and had a super block nose -,-''. THe blockage was so annoying, I told Joan I got to have a half day off.
Know what I lost? A half day PAY!! As I am leaving soon, the remaining leaves I have will be paid. ANd me applying a half day off, means I lost half day pay (If you get what I mean)!!

The day was super gloomy. Rainning, wind, freezing temperature. In UK, handling a simple umbrella requires SKILLS, just because of the freazing strong wind is capable of snapping your umbrella into HALF! You need to hold your umbrella following the wind's direction. I was so busy checking the wind direction and in the other hand crossing the road. I guess the drivers were laughing at me by the way I holded the umbrella.

Anyway, went to Morrisons and got some ready meal for next week and a salad box for lunch.
I am so glad I took the half day off. Although I didnt sleeep at all, leaving the office meant something GREAT!! Haha.
